Flower Show and Dog Show – this Sunday!

This year’s Annual Flower Show & Dog Show is almost upon us – Sunday 27th. With ten divisions in the Flower Show, six Dog Show classes, a Scarecrow Competition, children’s races, extra stalls and a bar, this year’s show promises to be bigger and better than ever. To fit everything in it will start at 1pm, centred as usual around the Church and Church House.

The schedules have been sent out, but extra ones are available from the village shop if you have mislaid yours. Please try and hand in your entry form to Caroline Saunders at Beadons by 7pm on Wednesday 23rd (ask nicely and she’ll accept them through to Saturday). Your exhibits then need to be in place between 8:00am and 9:45am on the day.

Registration for the Dog Show takes place at 1:00pm on the Sunday, with the first class starting at 1:15pm.

We have the following categories for your four legged companions:

*Best rescued/re-homed dog

*Best child handler

*Best puppy (under 12 months)

*Best golden oldie (over 10 years)

*Waggiest tail

*Most loveable dog

An award will be given by Quantock Grooming for the best turned out dog judged across all classes.

The Flower Show Team really looks forward to seeing you all on the 27th. Good luck to all.
