3.45pm – 4.15pm – Pre-Primary Ballet
For ages three upwards the ISTD syllabus introduces vocabulary, steps, musicality and techniques that will be developed throughout the grades. Children will learn to stretch and strengthen, to perform set work according to the syllabus and to enjoy the confidence that comes with performing and sharing their skills. At Dancemore we also encourage self-expression and creativity and there are regular opportunities for free dancing.
4.15pm – 5.00pm – Grade 1 Ballet
With an age range from seven upwards this class will be more focused and we use the barre for the first time. Students will be encouraged to work hard towards improving their classical ballet technique and developing their French vocabulary and general musicality. Benefits include learning discipline and dedication, improved core strength and flexibility, plus inspiration from ballet history and associated skills such as mime, grace of movement, self-expression, and confidence.
5.00pm – 5.45pm – Junior Street Dance
For age six to ten, this class teaches authentic street dance foundation steps and groove for popping, locking, breaking, hip hop and house. Children will learn technique and routines but also the social element of hip hop culture, how to feel the music and freestyle using the vocabulary of moves taught, plus their own creativity.
5.45pm – 6.30pm – Acrobatic Arts – Gymnastics
Most children love doing handstands, cartwheels, tricks and tumbling. If they have ever expressed an interest in gymnastics this is the class that will teach them, safely and effectively, the skills they need to progress and achieve.
