Church of the Holy Ghost, Crowcombe

The church of the Holy Ghost is one of six parish churches in the Church of England Benefice of Quantock Towers. The rector is Revd Elfrida Savigear, The Rectory, Trendle Lane, Bicknoller TA4 4EG. Email: Elfrida@bicknollerrectory.freeserve.co.uk.

There is a service in the church on most Sundays. The normal monthly rota is:

1^st Sunday 11am Holy Communion, 2^nd Sunday 8am Holy Communion, 3^rd Sunday 6.30pm Evensong, 4^th Sunday 11am Family Service. The services are a mixture of traditional and modern.

Crowcombe Cars

Crowcombe Cars is a community car scheme operating within the Parish of Crowcombe for the benefit of the people of Crowcombe.

If you are unable to use public transport and require a lift then give us a ring on Crowcombe 618287.

Shopping, Surgery, Hospital, Railway / Bus Station, other trips considered.

THE CROWCOMBE HALL

The Crowcombe Hall is situated close to the A358 in the picturesque village of Crowcombe. There is ample car parking, and good disabled access.

The Main Hall - Size: 60’ x 30’ (approx).
A large, light and airy room, with doors opening out onto a terrace. The sprung floor is suitable for dancing and sporting activities. The Hall is equipped with tables and chairs, a modular stage, an excellent integral sound system (with a microphone available), and has a range of lighting options. There is also a hearing loop system.

The Kitchen
A fully equipped kitchen suitable for professional catering. Available appliances include a six ring gas range, fridge, electric water boiler, dishwasher, hot cupboard, etc.

The Quantock Room - Size: 20’ x 20’ (approx).
A smaller carpeted room available for meetings, educational courses etc (with multiple electric sockets for computer use). Equipped with its own small kitchen facility for the provision of refreshments.

There are also two changing rooms, both with shower facilities, available for hire with sports use, or for performing arts.
